Join the Aquarium of the Pacific as it hosts its eighteenth annual African-American Festival, celebrating the rich diversity of African-American and African cultures.

The festival will feature live entertainment and arts and crafts. Festival performers include Mardi Gras second line dancers, hip hop and break dancers, jazz musicians, interactive drum circles, West African dancers, and storytellers.

Meet, learn about, and even touch animals from Africa with special guest Conservation Ambassadors, including a camel, chameleon, African bull frog, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, savannah monitor, Dumeril’s boa, lemur, crocodile, African porcupine, eagle owl, and African emperor scorpion.
